Random Katrina Pics

I wanted to add in some of my favorite pictures of Katrina that have no rhyme or reason.

Daddy feeds Katrina one of her first meals!

Katrina eats her first meal in the high chair. She sits as though she is holding court!
Katrina poses with my bear Elmo at 6 months old!
With no cousins around Katrina puts her feet up wondering what to do!

Like mother like daughter.... A girl must have shoes!!!!

Summer with the Burkes

This summer we were fortunate to have the Burkes stay with us for a couple months while their house underwent some foundation repair. We had a great time but I think the kids enjoyed it the most!

Every morning Ethan greeted the girls with big hugs!

He loves having babies around! Ethan is such a helper, feeding, playing and holding the babies.

The girls also enjoyed having someone around.... They seemed inseperable (totally their choice of course) between baths....

Dining in together.....

Getting bedtime snuggles.....

And playing in the cribs, while moms try to do some laundry!

Not to be outdone Ethan made the best of his time without the girls. Here he covered our front step with dirt. He also become an expert at playing with our dogs! It was so much fun to have the Burkes here that we were sad to see them go home.

Katrina is Baptized

We had Katrina baptized at St Judes. Her cousin Avery was also baptized the same day. We had many good friends and relatives join us for this special day!

We were surprised when she didn't scream during the service.
Here Avery and Katrina are right after the service. Aren't they both so cute in their dresses??

Katrina was not her smiley self after church. She was tired and wanted everyone to know it including Grandpa Cahill.....

Grandma Von Feldt, and Grandpa again....

and Godmother Laurie!

Here she is all eyes with Godfather Uncle Skip and Aunt Sarah

And then there were three.....

The morning Katrina was born I told Scott I was in labor and we were supposed to go meet the midwife. He took a moment to himself.....okay he wasn't alone I was on the couch watching him

Yes, this is me in labor. I was in between contractions and probably giving Scott a bad time.

Here we go, our last trip out of the house before parenthood set in! Notice Scott has coffee and I only got water. Doesn't seem fair now but I'm sure the coffee wouldn't have helped my energy anyway.
A mere, 7 hours later we had our beautiful daughter! Here she is just minutes old!

In the Begining......

Leah and Laura hosted my baby shower about a month before Katrina arrived!
Scott and I took a drive the last week of Feb. out toward the pass. We stopped on almost every side road to just explore and see where they went. This road was the only one we could actually drive down. We got out for a few to play with the dogs but thought better of continuing on up the very bumbpy road in the snow and ice. I was due any time and we weren't ready to deliver alone in the mountains! It was our last "family outing" to include dogs and no children.

Katrina Anne Cahill was born March 2, 2007! This was taken when she was only about an hour old!

We had her at Puget Sound Birth Center in Kirkland, Wa. She was born at 11:35am and we took her home that afternoon about 4:30. Later that evening Scott gave her the first bath! He looks a bit nervous here but he was a complete pro!
After her bath we introduced her to the rest of the family....Buck and Kester! It was love at first sight for all three of them! Katrina didn't mind the licks and the dogs knew she was their new charge!

On Sunday the 4th of March our Midwife did the home check on Katrina and said she was a bit jaundice. We tried to lay her in the sun to help but, well it is the Seattle area!
Dad and his little "sweet pea" along with the bear Scott made especially for Katrina before she arrived.Mom and her "angel" who knew you could love someone so much!
From the day she was born Katrina was wide eyed and alert. She always wants to see what is going on around her and doesn't miss a thing!
Who can resist the sleeping baby photos? This is one of many favorites!

Katrina Meets Great Grandma Irene

Scott, Katrina and I drove down to Walla Walla this past Saturday (Oct. 6th). This was the first time Katrina met Grandma Irene. The two of them were instant buddies! Grandma Cahill was also there helping Great Grandma recover from her broken shoulder.
Great Grandma and Katrina...... who has who tighter?
Grandma Cahill feeds Katrina

Great Grandma and Kat share a good laugh!Grandma lends an ear as Kat tells the stories of her travels

Kat is peeking through the Grandma's kisses with such a smile!
Great Grandma and Kat played all day!
It was love at first sight!
Even Dad got in on the action and spent some time rolling on the ground!
Scott, Grandma and Great Grandma couldn't stop taking pictures even while she slept.
Katrina sure loved spending the day with so many people that adore her!
Welcome to our lives! We hope you enjoy the glimpse into our family!
